Life for Isabella Swan is spinning out of her control and slipping her slowly into a surreal world filled with monsters, mortal enemies, and romance. It all started her junior year when she moved away from her mom's house in sunny Phoenix to live with her dad in Forks, Washington. She was the new girl that everyone was eager to get a look at, because with Forks being such a small town there were hardly ever any new students, not to mention she was the local police chief's daughter. She soon came to find out that one boy, named Edward Cullen, and his family acted quite peculiar; sitting only by themselves at lunch, never speaking to anyone, and taking regular 'hiking' trips to places that were very unfit to hike in.
Before long, Bella soon began to think that Edward hated her with the way he sat at the very edge of his side of the desk they shared in science, kept his fists clenched every time her was relatively close to her, and, strangest of all, acting as though she had some horrible odor coming from her. One day, however, they actually started talking. It was from there that she started to unravel the mystery behind him and his strange family. The Cullens were infact a family of vampires. Now that Bella knows the secret, she is beginning to fall in love with Edward and willing to become what he is so they can spend the rest of eternity together.
