Knightfall
Some men aren’t looking for anything logical. They can’t be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Gotham City is in the grip of a madman. Things should have gotten better when The Batman brought down Carmine Falcone, but other men have stepped in to try to seize control of Gotham. Most shocking is the mysterious figure that the media have dubbed The Joker. His crimes are often lethal, and always unpredictable. The Joker is not the only member of this new breed of criminals. The sultry Catwoman creeps through the night, helping herself to some of the tastiest valuables that the homes of Gotham’s rich and powerful have to offer and somewhere out there still lurks The Scarecrow.
The Batman is not in the fight alone though. There are several members of the Gotham City Police Department still determined to do the right thing. Still, for every Jim Gordon, there are scores of men like Detective Flass. And while no one has found evidence linking Loeb to the criminal underworld, everyone on the police force has heard the rumours.
While James Gordon fights crime through legitimate channels, his orphaned niece finds herself caught up in circumstance beyond her control, driven by these forces and a healthy dose of hero worship to try to help solve the problems of her new home city. Little does she know that her history teacher, Helena Bertinelli pursues her own war against crime. As for her fellow Gotham County High School student, Lonnie Machin, his motives are entirely his own business.
Gotham: Knightfall is an RPG set in the aftermath of the movie Batman Begins, aiming for a high standard of writing. While some characters from the wider DCU are accepted, we prefer those without powers and the focus is on the citizens of Gotham City. We accept canon characters only, but there are still many pivotal characters open. While Knightfall is still a small board, we have a dedicated core of very talented writers, working on some very plot oriented threads. We try to avoid threads focusing on random meetings and work more towards strong stories, aiming for genuine character growth and development, making Gotham Knightfall a rich, detailed environment to play in.
